Most of us had an image of poker that wasn’t too pretty. Smoke filled rooms, with shady people, with cheating almost expected. So, let’s see how poker became big business.
Three key things have happened that created the boom. They have caused poker to become a big money maker. It’s an interesting combination of events that led to this happening.
Planet poker, in 1998, becomes the first online poker room. Casinos had been online since 1994. With people playing poker in their living room the evolution starts.
We have had poker on television all the way back into the 70’s. The coverage was very limited. Small audiences didn’t help inspire more coverage.
This would change dramatically, eventually. The second key factor in changing poker is the hole card camera, or “pocket cam”. Patented way back in 1994, and was used briefly in Europe in 1997. Once used to it’s fullest, this tool revolutionized watching poker on the television.
2002 becomes sort of a stepping stone to the poker explosion. Having picked up the WSOP coverage again, ESPN uses the pocket cam for the first time. Also, the WPT (World Poker Tour) is formed and in 2003 will air the first season of the tour, with the pocket cam.
The use of the pocket cam gets more people watching. The fact that the viewer can see what the players have increases the drama, and exposes the strategies. ESPN decides to show a lot more of the event the following year.
ESPN decides that they will get coverage from every day. They will have pocket cam on the feature table. They also start profiling the players.
With increased coverage the whole world sees Chris Moneymaker fight his way through the field of 839 to win the event. He outplayed many of the best players in the world in the last two tables. But, Chris is just an online player, having earned his $10,000 entry from a $40 satellite event.
When an unknown internet player turns $40 in $2.5 million, interest in poker explodes. Everyone wants to get involved in poker. The poker industry takes off.
It started with internet poker, the ease and convenience of playing at home. Then the poker cam made watching poker on television exciting. When Chris Moneymaker, wins the biggest tournament in the world, the poker industry booms.

Ahh, the word love. It has always been a powerful topic of conversation. Love has many meanings and just the sound of it alone can bring joy and peace to whoever is speaking that one little 4 letter word. It’s amazing how many meanings one word can have. We court, we fall in lust or love, we marry and we create rich and abundant lives with our partner.
But, how do we go about finding our best friend and soulmate? In today’s busy society, this can be a challenge. How do we have the time to look? One clear solution to this, is to try an online dating website. Can we really find true love via computer? The answer to that question is, Yes we can! Now, how to we find the right online dating service. Let’s begin.
Everyone has heard stories from friends, coworkers, family, Dr. Phil, Oprah about the ahappily ever aftera. I have experienced this joyous occasion first hand meeting men on the world wide web. My best friend who now is married with a beautiful little girl, met his wife to be by simply seeing her picture on an Online Dating Website-he just knew. He used eHarmony but there are thousands to choose from.
Ok, so assuming you want to try this. And I am guessing you are, otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this article. Which site do you choose? How do you know which one is the right one for you? There are so many websites that offer these services, it’s hard to determine which one to use. There are a few ways you could go about this. I believe the best way is the good old fasioned \”word of mouth\” approach. Find the one that has everyone talking. Another approach is finding the one which suits your budget. Most of them allow you to post a profile for free.
Once youave made up your profile, true love is on the way. Upload a few pictures, recent ones, to your website profile, be truthful and donat try to look like youare 125 pounds or years younger, when in reality youare closer to 300 pounds and not really sporting 80as hair! Be honest and explain in your personality what youare honestly looking for in life (no, not just love).
Now, that youave taken the first steps, youare out there, thereas someone who is interested in you and atime for a date. ahas it really been that long since Iave been out on a date? I donat know what to do or where to begin!a Where to meet? Where to go? Have you decided on what you both want to do? How will you recognize the other person?
Rule number one: Always meet in a public place. Public settings can be a lot of fun upon meeting for the first time. I always like to meet someone at a coffee shop. It’s an inexpensive and safe way to meet someone for the first time. Rule number two: Always be yourself. Why beat around the bush about certain issues just to please the other person? The truth is, they will find out anyway, so be as honest from the start as possible. Stay positive. We all love to be around someone who is lighthearted and full of fun.
Online dating can be a great new experience and a helpful tool. A great way to meet new friends and perhaps that love and companionship we all long for. Even the man/woman of your dreams. The only way to find out with certainty, is to try it. At very least you can advise your friends in the future of your experiences when youare asked the questionaaever tried online dating?a. What have you got to lose and you have so much to gain. Your true love could be waitinga

Divorce is a harrowing experience no matter how amicable the settlement. That experience is exacerbated if there are children involved.Children are often left confused and with a feeling of abandonment that can scar them for life. In later life they can suffer depression and other emotional difficulties which can be traced back to a traumatic divorce in childhood.
Divorces are typically covered in the media due to the financial aspect of the process, particularly when the husband stands to lose a substantial sum. The emotional states of the children involved, however, can be a far bigger cost. After divorce, fathers often have difficulty connecting with their kids, and their separation can make it difficult for the father to settle into a role as a divorced yet still involved parent.
For the mother, a divorce can often feel like the heaping on of additional responsibility that wasn’t as big of an issue with two parents. The child rearing now being almost squarely on her shoulders, a mother can often feel broken down and emotionally overstretched, as her children now rely on her for support and love almost exclusively in many cases. Children can feel alienated as a result of not being nurtured enough.
The biggest human cost must surely be the children who have had no bearing on how the situation has arisen but are nonetheless caught in the crossfire. If the breakdown of the marriage is not an amicable one then the resentment and anger of the parents has a devastating effect on the children who do not possess the maturity our coping skills to deal with this traumatic event.
Many times, kids feel like they are responsible for the parents splitting, which can also have major emotional ramifications. They can be hesitant to develop emotional bonds with other people, have difficulty making friends, and can ultimately feel awkward in social situations.
If the divorce has occurred by one partner being unfaithful to the other then this can leave the other partner with feelings of rejection, mistrust and doubts about self image that often carry on into further relationships. Whilst the unfaithful partner has feelings of guilt they inflict an emotional scar on their loved one that may never heal.
With divorce rates as high as they are in many countries worldwide, divorce is a reality. Even if marriages do not intend to end in divorce, many often do, with often traumatic results to the families broken up. Because divorces are a no-win proposition in many cases, the best advice to figure should you be considering that route is to ensure the breaking up of the marriage happens smoothly and friendly.
While no-one can pretend that divorce is not traumatic it could be a new opportunity. As the saying goes ‘As one door closes, another opens’ and it could open up a whole range of possibilities that a person with a positive frame of mind can do.Whatever you do you keep the cost to a minimum, both financial

The word chakra comes from the Sanskrit language, and means a vortex or spinning wheel. It is also used to refer to the seven chakras found in the human body, corresponding to the different glands of the body. The first chakra is found at the spinal base and the seventh at the crown. All chakras are centers of spinning energy.
As the chakra is a center of spinning energy and something that moves, it causes vibrations. These vibrations cause sound and this is the reason why there is vibration in different parts of the body through chakra sounds of varying frequencies.
There are not only seven independent chakra sounds for the seven chakras but also seven colors associated with the different chakras. These colors also vibrate at different frequencies where both the chakra sound and color helps in the restoration of balance in the chakras. This in turn helps in the restoring of health.
It is easy to turn to sound healing, with the help of chakra sounds. You only need your voice to feel better, calmer and clearer in a matter of minutes. These chakra sounds should be said softly and gently for not longer than five minutes.
1. The first chakra sound is ‘UH’, the deepest sound possible. This chakra sound has to be done with eyes closed and with attention on the spine base chakra, the base chakra. When chanting the chakra sound, you have to be aware of the sound resonance found in the chakra location and not from the throat. This chakra sound is associated with the color red and has to be chanted for one or two minutes, and not longer than five minutes.
2. The second chakra is located about three inches below the naval where you find the second chakra sound ‘OOO’. This chakra sound is complimented with the color orange and has to be chanted with eyes closed. This helps you experience the balancing of the chakra with other chakras for a minute or two.
3. ‘OH’ is the third chakra sound that has to come from the navel chakra located in the navel area. Yellow is the complimenting color and the chakra sound should start softly and gently, but with a higher tone than the last sound.
4. ‘AH’ is the sound people cry out when in love, and is also the chakra sound for the heart chakra. This chakra is located in the middle of the chest, and is related to love. It is associated with the color green and has to be started with a soft and gentle sound that has a higher pitch than the previous chakra sound.
5. The chakra sound for the throat chakra is ‘EYE’ which has blue as its complimenting color. Like other chakra sounds, this chakra sound too has to be of a higher pitch than previous sounds
6. The chakra sound for the third eye found in the forehead between and slightly higher than the two eyes is ‘AYE’. The color that goes with this chakra sound is indigo. The chakra sound has to start with a soft and gentle tone, but with a higher pitch than the last sounds.
7. The crown chakra, found at the top of the head, demands the highest sound you can make. This chakra sound is ‘EEE’ and is complemented with purple and starts by making the highest ‘EEE’ sound possible. Like other chakra sounds, this chakra sound also starts soft and gentle.
You have to close your eyes when chanting all the chakra sounds while concentrating on different chakras. When you focus on the different chakras, you find chakra sounds projecting from the respective chakras. And with the resonance of the sound chakras, each chakra starts balancing and aligning with other chakras.
You will feel light headed after this exercise with chakra sounds. This is why it is better to meditate or relax after this session. This way you will be able to reap the actual benefits chakra sounds offer you.

We daily discover newer secrets about the facts that make us a superior race and helped us survive and evolve through extremely competitive and tough environment. Of these numerous unexplored mysteries about our existence there is the theory of the seven chakras or energy points in our bodies that regulate our physical as well as mental self.
More than the energy that we actually receive from the kind of food we intake, we need energy that would help us refresh our mind and souls and this energy is obtained by the interaction of the seven chakras in our body and the celestial objects.
The exact purpose and functions of these seven chakras are not entirely defined though there has been a good amount of knowledge that we possess about them. A strong belief suggests that it is the way that you feel that generates the kind of results, in case you are not confident about a particular task and feel very low before even trying you would come back with a negative result only where in if you have always been positive you end up getting the desired results and these things are important even when things are least/most likely to happen.
Each circle of energy is an active participant in the process of monitoring and enhancing a body part or its activities, the effect that these chakras have on different body parts and attitude is different, hence most chakras independently affect their respective body organs.
The seven chakras that have a huge impact on our existence and on our actions can be further explained in details as follows.
The first chakra that lies towards the end of the spine is known as the root chakra, its impact is clearly visible on the character of the person, while the chakra has positive energy it develops the characteristics of strong will and determination. This chakra helps to control the organs in the lower abdomen, especially the intestine and other organs.
Genital Chakra lies above the root chakra and is very important as it helps to control the organs that are important for excretory purposes. This chakra with positive energy could mean that a person is not distracted by luscious offers and can help to have a broad mind. With negativity it can lead to establishing negative vibes and feelings.
The third chakra that helps regulate the functions and the activities of the stomach and other important organs of digestion, is referred to as the umbilical chakra. It helps to maintain a good balance of mind so as to help in decision making. On the negative side it has an impact on the thoughts leading to the arousing of feelings that result from an unstable mind.
The fourth chakra from the bottom is the heart chakra that is responsible for the generation of various emotions as well as inspires feelings of liking and admiration. As the name suggests it has firm control over the human heart and if filled with negativity can lead to feelings of hatred and hypocrisy.
The fifth chakra is the throat chakra, it has an impact on the functions of the vocal chords we possess. It is also said to have an impact on the language we speak, a negative throat chakra could mean the use of a lot of foul language. The chakra controls important organs like the mouth, neck and lungs.
The next is the third eye chakra. You tend to develop impressions and make perceptions due to the chakra referred as the third eye chakra and it is very important for a person!
The seventh and the final chakra is crown chakra which promotes the thirst for enlightenment.
